Awesome location just next door to restaurants / pubs, tranquil and peaceful gardens and the highest railway station in Southern England and part of the Lynton & Barnstaple railway and welcoming and pleasant staff. Comfortable room, exceptionally comfortable bed and luxurious bathroom.

We have spent 1 day in double room with a great breakfast, huge bathroom, for instance, everything was wonderful. The location of the hotel was remote, short walk to nearby attractions, the highest railway station, and tranquil and peaceful gardens, which are ideal for young and old to enjoy. Plus it was max 10 mins walk to the lake.

The location is in a marvellous and awesome spot to the platform of the Woody Bay steam railway. Make sure to get double room with a dining table, kitchenette, for example. Offers excellent service and fantastic food.

Spotless room with absolutely fabulous view of the extensive gardens and beyond to the sea. Location just next door to beautiful gardens with lovely views, the highest railway station in Southern England and part of the Lynton & Barnstaple railway and ancient beautiful and peaceful woodlands.
Very dated bathroom, a little musty room.

I had a fantastic stay at a lovely hidden gem situated in the stunning countryside. The spacious apartment provided breathtaking views of the gardens and the sunsets were absolutely stunning. The hosts were extremely helpful, even letting me use their telescope for star gazing. The cleanliness of the apartment was top notch and the peaceful woodland walk on site was a delightful bonus. Although a minor point, a small guide on using the oven and hob would have been helpful. I highly recommend this hotel and would definitely stay again.

Everything was wonderful, had a truly memorable stay on our latest visit. The location was remote, marvellous to the platform of the Woody Bay steam railway. Moreover, it's right by ample gardens, breathtaking walks over the Moors and the forest. Downstairs bar was good.
